“Our Harbour” Photo Competition Rules

The competition is open to Hong Kong residents.

Except School Group, only one entry per person per competition is allowed. If more than one entry is submitted by a single person, only the first will be eligible to enter the competition.

The competition will close on 28 February 2013 (extended to 22 March 2013). Late entries will not be accepted.

Entries must be your own work and should not have won previous competitions or have been published elsewhere. You must own all rights to the work.

Entries must not infringe the rights of any other party. The entrants must be the sole owner of copyright in all photographs entered and must have obtained permission of any people featured in the entries or their parents/guardians if children under 16 are featured. Further, entrants must not have breached any laws when taking their photographs.

Entries must be submitted as digital JPEG file with a resolution of at least 300 dpi and no larger than 2 MB (megabyte) in size.

Entries must be submitted online to this website at www.victoriaharbour.hk or the Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/victoriaharbour.hk.

All entries will become property of the Harbour Business Forum.

The decision of the judging panel is final and no correspondence will be entertained.

By submitting an entry, you are giving permission for the Harbour Business Forum to use, distribute and publicize your photo as we see fit. If you do not wish to grant these rights please do not submit your photo.

The Harbour Business Forum accepts no responsibility for ineligible entries or entries made fraudulently.

While the Harbour Business Forum makes every effort to credit photographers, including in printed reproductions of their work, we cannot guarantee that every use of the photos will include photographers' names.

If the winner is unable to be contacted after reasonable attempts have been made, the Harbour Business Forum reserves the right to offer the prize to the next eligible entrant and thereafter until a winner is found.

The Harbour Business Forum reserves the right to amend any of the rules of the competition at any time without prior notice. In any case of disputes on the interpretation of the rules of the competition, the Harbour Business Forum’s decision shall be final.

The Harbour Business Forum reserves the right to cancel this competition at any stage, if deemed necessary in its opinion, and if circumstances arise outside of its control.

By entering this competition you accept these rules and agree to be bound by them.
